New print: Happy Gnasher

Just printed: Gnasher's in a good mood. Dennis the Menace's companion, a Beano favourite in his own right, first appeared in the comic's issue 1362, back in the rebellious 1960s. Gnasher is a black-haired Abyssinian Wire-Haired Tripe Hound exclaims "gnash!" instead of barking. The print is a two-ink design: here are photos showing the red ink first (the lightest ink is always put down first), then the black ink goes down (using a sheet of acetate to register it accurately) and the finished article. Finally, four prints dry on my wall-mounted drying rack. As usual, the paper I've used is lovely...
Dogmatix as he's printed

Here's a glimpse of Dogmatix just after he's been printed: I've just applied the black on top of the blue, making sure that the image lands perfectly on the page so that his blue nose fits perfectly.
