Here's a glimpse of Dogmatix just after he's been printed: I've just applied the black on top of the blue, making sure that the image lands perfectly on the page so that his blue nose fits perfectly.
My squeegee is in the frame, with black ink on the edge of the blade. And that's my thumb. The screen itself – which is in effect the stencil – is in the background: you can see it's black because I've flooded it in preparation for the next print. If I didn't do this, a little ink would dry in the mesh and before long the image would be uneven.
You can see my acetate on the left: I print the black on this and flop it over the print with the blue on it, then adjust the paper so that the new layer of ink lands just right.

- Voici un aperçu de Dogmatix juste après avoir été imprimé : j’ai justement appliqué le noir au-dessus du bleu, en veillant à ce que l’image tombe parfaitement sur la page afin que son nez bleu s’ajuste parfaitement.
- Ma raclette est dans le cadre, avec de l’encre noire sur le bord de la lame. Et c’est mon pouce.
- L’écran lui-même — qui est en effet le pochoir — est en arrière-plan: vous pouvez voir qu’il est noir car je l’ai rempli d’encre pour préparer l’impression suivante.
- Si je ne faisais pas cela, un peu d’encre sècherait dans la maille et, tôt ou tard, l’image serait inégale.
- Vous pouvez voir mon acétate sur la gauche : j’imprime le noir sur celui-ci et je le dépose au-dessus de l’impression où le bleu est déjà imprimé, puis j’ajuste le papier pour que la nouvelle couche d’encre tombe juste au bon endroit.
