FELIX THE CAT - NEW SCREENPRINT
Posted by John Reynolds on
FELIX THE CAT WINKS - NEW SCREENPRINT These are my first prints to feature Felix the Cat, created in 1919, and still one of the most important cartoon characters ever devised. I'm very pleased how these have turned out ... but as you can see, have experimented with the best way to print the image. I've produced a two-colour version, and two monochrome ones, one of which is on red paper. Which do you prefer? Please let me know in the comments below. #Felix #felixthecat #catart #cats #comicart #cartoon #art #Handmade #screenprinting #screenprint #londonhandmade #londonartist #madeinengland #retro

HOW A SCREENPRINT IS MADE

Here's a large format print of the Bash Street Kids just after the black ink was applied. You can see the stencil on the screen behind the print. I've already flooded it with black ink in preparation for pulling the next print.
