Jonah in his barrel

£ 40.00£ 74.00

The Beano’s Jonah finds himself in a barrel.

The character only lasted from 1958 until 1963 but I remember him fondly. A reference to the sailor’s superstition of an unlucky seafarer and to Jonah in the Bible, whose ship nearly sunk, the chinless wonder brought catastrophe wherever he went.
