I was a great fan of Commando! comics as a boy. I especially enjoyed the story lines which emphasised the complexities and psychological impact of war. This panel gets the reader into the fraught chaos of the pilot’s cockpit.
Commando! has been produced by Britain’s top comic publisher DC Thomson for more than 50 years – and they are still in print.
I am the the first and only screenprinter to have permission from DC Thomson to use their archive of images for my work.
Medium size: 48cms x 38cms.
