New! Two more screenprints in my recently introduced ‘words’ range: Boy Loves Girl and Girl Loves Boy.
They join my current Valentines ‘words’ range, which include ‘Kiss’ and ‘Love’.
By the way, a brief bit of research revealed to me that Valentines Day has been associated with lovers for longer than I’d thought: apparently the first surviving reference was made by Geoffrey Chaucer in the late 14th century. By the 18th century it had evolved into an occasion for lovers to give each other gifts such as sweets, cards and poems.
The lettering on my screenprints is taken from US comics from the 1950s.
They’re bold and bright, and that’s exactly what screenprinting does well.
The screenprints are currently available in my standard format which is 26cms x 19cms.
If you would like them in my larger (48x38cms) or largest (76 x 56cms) formats, please just ask.
The standard size ones are £40, the medium ones are £145 and the largest ones are £280. If you would like them framed, plain black wooden frames are a further £30 standard (with glass), £50 medium (with perspex) and £70 large (with perspex).
They are all printed on my usual paper, which is off white, textured mould-made cotton paper milled in Somerset.
